GlenMarie Winery is part of the Haw River Wine Trail. The trail includes 4 neighboring wineries all along the Haw River. We invite you to experience the wine trail showcasing these fine North Carolina Wineries. Invite 6-8 friends to join you for a visit to our winery and tasting room. Everyone will receive a complementary souvenir wine glass, tastes of a variety of red and white wines, and a tour of our winery and vineyard.

We planted our first vines in the spring of 2002. We now have sixteen different varieties of grapes growing on over 5 acres of our vineyard. Construction also began in the spring of 2002. This photo was taken in May at the winery "topping off" ceremony. While the winery was under construction, the newly planted Muscadine grape vines took to the sandy soil and grew to the top of the trellis wires by late summer. The winery was finished in June of 2002. It took nearly a year to set up all the equipment in time for the 2003 harvest season.
